Staying Safe at City Cricket Academy During the Covid-19 Pandemic

The City Cricket Academy takes the safety and wellbeing of its customers and everyone working with us very seriously.

In order to safeguard the wellbeing of our cricket family we have completed comprehensive risk assessments for all of our activities.

The CCA follows guidance issued by the Government and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), and local authority Public Health advisors.

We have identified a range of controls to manage the risk of Covid-19 cross contamination and transmission in line with official guidance. Where the risk of Covid-19 cannot be controlled to an acceptable level, CCA will suspend activities.

All player development activities including One to one indoor coaching and group coaching sessions have been risk assessed for all age groups.

As a result of the risk assessments, the CCA has implemented (where reasonably practicable) a range of controls which include:

• Where risk of transmission cannot be controlled, activities have been suspended.

• We have enhanced cleaning, hand-washing and hygiene procedures in line with official guidance for all our activities.

• We have taken all reasonable steps to maintain a 2 metre or 1 metre plus with mitigation for social distance in the cricket coaching and playing environments. Where social distancing is not always possible, we have put in place measures to manage transmission risk including limiting the number of players and staff, one way pedestrian systems at CCA where practicable, screens and barriers.

• We have increased the level of signage across CCA to remind all present of the need to ensure that social distancing and hygiene standards must be observed.

• We will only allow one customer in our shop at any time.

• We have provided information, instruction and training to ensure all coaches are fully aware of the precautions needed to control coronavirus transmission.

• We also monitor the implementation of these control measures within the CCA and compliance is tracked and reported to the management.

• We collect personal data to support test and trace procedures.

The risk assessments are reviewed and updated periodically by our health and safety adviser to ensure controls are still relevant and being implemented. It also informs CCA’s decision on the adequacy of control measures in order to protect the health and wellbeing of all and the relaunch of any suspended services whilst still managing the risk of transmission.

The City Cricket Academy will continue to review the impact of national guidance, local restriction and lockdowns and keep our customers informed of the impact to the services we offer.
Nothing is more important to us than safeguarding the Health and Wellbeing of our Cricket Family.
